I live in South Texas, about 50 miles South of Laredo. Weather here is usually warm with at least 130 days a year above 100 degrees (F). I work in the Oilfield on the production side of things, lots of CAT 3516's driving compressors, the best in the industry. My little place of 25 acres (10 hecters) is just a big back yard here, but is more than I can take care of anyway. My old CAT is a '38, D2-3J, Ser # 35, and my "new' CAT is a '59 955 Track Loader. I have dad's old 1949 Ford 8N, but usually use the "new" 1975 Ford 4000 diesel tractor for most things due to the live-PTO. I'm kinda in to the older stuff, it's easer to work on, and I believe it's better anyway. I have a couple of '59 Aluminum Lone Star boats, 18' and 21', classics, if I ever get them done I will trailer them with my '49 Cadillac , provided it is also done, seem to have more projects than I have time.
